Mother's Day Canvas

I made this canvas for my mom for Mother's Day.  She is moving out of her house that she has lived in for 37 years and into an apartment this month.  My mom loves nature and her flower garden.  She had a beautiful view of her garden from her patio, which she will not have at her new place.  I wanted to give her something that she could display in her new livingroom. I hope this canvas will provide her with the warmth and love that she so well deserves.

Grandpa

This is one of my favorite photos of my son and daughter with their grandfather (my father-in-law).  The kids look forward to their grandpa's weekly visit. They love him so much (and so do I).  This photo was taken at the beginning of fall (which is my favorite season), so I wanted to work off of the rusty orange by using earthy tones in the layout.  I've had this picture framed for awhile, but I think I love it even more now!

Products: Deja Views' Global Treks (paper), K & Company's Tim Coffey Die Cut cardstock & Acetate (butterfly, dragonfly, bird flowers, & paisley) K & Company's flower & twig charmer, K& Company Handmade Ephermera Pack (3 card), Tim Holtz Ideaology Harlequin Grunboard (key), Tim Holtz Distressed Ink vintage photo & walnut. Karen Foster Design (Grandpa cardstock stickers).

Fairy in Training

My DD loves (actually is obsessed) with Tinkerbell.  She received this adorable Tinkerbell outfit for her birthday a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn't wait to get a photo op with her in it.  The products I used for the layout were K & Company Berry Sweet (mushroom & butterflies) Urban Rhapsody ("You are My" dial), Sandylion Essentials (flowers).  Also, Tim Holtz Ideaology Harlequin Shapes Grungeboard, Tim Holtz and Distressed Inks.  It has been awhile since I have done a layout.  I had fun with this one and am ready to take on more.

I have been in a creative slump, but am slowly getting my creative juices flowing.  Right now,  I am busy working on a couple of different projects for my daughters 4th birthday.  I will have some pictures to post later this week.

Valentine Mailboxes

This project was inspired from Organized Chaos site.  I bought these plain mailboxes from the $1 bin at Target and covered them with some paper & stickers I've had on had for quite some time.  The frog, elephant and xoxo cuts are from the Paisley Cricut cartridge. Thought I would fill them with some treats for my lil kiddos.  Thanks for looking!

Live, Laugh, Love Vinyl Wall Quote

Vinyl lettering I cut with SCAL & Cricut.
Placed on beam dividing kitchen & dining room.

"Caught the Bug" Door Sign

I made this door sign for a sweet, 10 year old, girl that recently got her own Cricut Create and has definately caught the "bug".  I just covered a piece of chipboard with black cardstock. The lettering is the Tear Drop cartridge. The bug head is from an svg file  which I downloaded from the SCAL messageboard.

With the ecouragement and support of friends & family, I have created my own blog. Not quite sure how my blog is going to look. But for those who know me, I am always up for a challenge and change. So here it goes. Enjoy.
